Episode Guide

The Lion's Roar Season One — Foundations

Each episode of The Lion's Roar is a standalone sermon, essay, and conversation. Scripture-grounded. Analytically honest. Delivered by a man with a pocket protector, a Master Cattleman certification, and a very full God Bag he's finally decided to open.

Season One — Foundations

The Opening Roar

Season One establishes the ground the ministry stands on: who the preacher is, what the lion represents, why the roar is necessary, and what Protect My Legacy means. These are the foundational episodes — the ones that tell you whether this ministry is for you.

Episode 1 — Pilot

The Lion Wakes Up

The introduction. Who is The Real Preacher? Why now? What is The Lion's Roar and who is it for? The story of a man who spent forty years being told to be quiet — and what happens when he stops listening.

Episode 2 — Scripture

Amos 3:8 — Who Can But Prophesy?

A deep dive into the scripture that names this ministry. The prophet Amos was a farmer, not a priest. He didn't ask for the job. God gave it to him anyway. The parallels are not subtle.

Episode 3 — Heritage

Seven Centuries of Service

The Strickland line. Sizergh Castle. Agincourt. The Banner of St. George. What it means to inherit a tradition of service — and the responsibility that comes with documented nobility in an age that doesn't believe in it.

Episode 4 — Identity

Per Silvam — Of the Woodland

The Sylvester name. The Latin forests. The oak tree eradicated — roots showing. The coat of arms. What a name means when it has been borne by popes, mathematicians, and colonial merchants across seventeen centuries.

Episode 5 — Mission

Protect My Legacy

The non-profit vision. What generational family secrets do to children. What it means to open the God Bag. Why every credential, every filing, every episode exists in service of one mission: ending the transmission of life-stealing secrets.

Episode 6 — Practice

The Monk and the Minister

Cross-tradition contemplative practice. What the Buddhist monk taught. What the ordination means. How two traditions — one Eastern, one Western — converge in a single practice of radical presence and honest service.
